Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are both schools and student athletes compensated?
For colleges – Yes. The amount a school and athlete are paid is a function of sales volume from player stores. For K-12 schools – No, only schools receive compensation as a function of sales volume from player stores. Current regulations do not allow student-athletes in elementary or high school to be compensated for NIL merchandise.
2. Can college athletes sign other NIL deals if they sign with Athletic Solutions?
Absolutely. There are no restrictions relative to additional NIL deals. This includes apparel.
3. Should student-athlete eligibility be of concern?
No. The first and most important step for Athletic Solutions is ensuring compliance with all necessary organizations. Once that step is complete, our program is then fully licensed with both the school and the student-athlete.
4. What happens if one of our athletes leaves the program for any reason?
Schools control which athletes are on current rosters and are eligible for stores. Should a school remove a student from its roster for any reason, they can simply remove them from their Athletic Solutions roster and the store will be deleted within 24 hours.
5. Which student-athletes are eligible to have an online store?
All student-athletes, band members, cheerleaders, and any other students on a rostered school activity are eligible.
6. What kind of items do your stores have?
See for yourself at CollegeAthleteStores.com! Each store has a wide variety of items such as apparel, posters, cups, balls, phone covers, etc. that can all be individually printed on demand at competitive prices. If a student-athlete has an idea for an item in their store that they would like to have added, we are open to that as well. Managing an online store is a great learning experience for student-athletes.
7. How do we know the items in your store are using the right colors and designs?
Before a store is created, we work with the school to ensure that things like colors, logos, trademarks, and fonts are exactly what the school selects. All decisions are made by the school. Our patent pending software uses AI to guarantee that the right combinations are used every time. If the school and / or player does not want the finished product to be listed, it can be removed with the click of a button.
8. How long does it take to set up a store for a whole team? How long for a whole school?
Once a school is added as an account and licensing agreements have been signed, rosters are uploaded to our portal and we begin the process of having individual student-athletes sign licensing agreements online. Typically, we add player stores as each individual player license is signed. The actual creation of the player store only takes a few seconds due to the sophistication of our software.
9. Will this compete with our existing spirit store or bookstore?
Spirit stores and bookstores typically do not offer print on demand or player specific stores are not set up to complete orders within 48 hours, and do not have access to our patent pending e-merchandise software to both license players and create player stores. School licensing departments have told us that our product offerings do not violate existing agreements since spirit stores or bookstores do not currently offer what we provide.
